Op Broken Accord 02 - 2026/08/22
Situation
During Op Broken Accord 01, British forces disrupted the KGC ground force and mortar position preparing to attack COP Jasim, nearby airfield and Al Tabqah. Communications material recovered from OBJ Rampart confirmed that the KGC signals team supporting the operation had been granted access to the KDF communications network. Recovered traffic indicates that the team was ordered to move its equipment from Qiytah to the vicinity of Eltyah after British action compromised the operation.
Contact with both the Kamiran government and senior KDF command has since deteriorated. KDF units are not responding consistently to communications, and their current orders, command relationships and alignment cannot be confirmed. This breakdown appears to pre-date the present operation; traffic recovered at OBJ Hammer Alpha recorded the KDF garrison, anti-ship and anti-air assets refusing to acknowledge a direct stand-down order from General Malik Omar. KDF forces in Al Tabqah have expanded checkpoints established for the peace talks from the city centre towards the outer approaches, and elements operating between the city and COP Jasim have engaged friendly forces.
OBJ Cipher Alpha marks the KDF garrison in Al Tabqah, while OBJ Cipher Bravo marks a government building assessed as largely abandoned during the evacuation of peace talk dignitaries, although a limited neutral guard presence may remain. Both locations may provide access to KDF communications systems and establish what information local forces have received, which authorities they recognise and what orders they are following. The Al Tabqah garrison and checkpoint forces are assessed as hostile due to its current posture, but the wider KDF cannot be treated as a unified hostile force.
OBJ Cipher Charlie marks the KDF garrison in Al Quisa. Most of its personnel were withdrawn to support security for the peace talks, leaving the position with a reduced presence and creating a further opportunity to access the KDF network. Access at any individual "Cipher" objective is not guaranteed; exploitation of multiple locations is therefore required to develop a reliable picture of KDF activity and determine the extent to which the KGC has accessed or influenced its communications.
OBJ Nexus marks the assessed location of the KGC command and signals element displaced from Qiytah. Reporting recovered during OP 01 indicates that the KDF garrison in Qiytah refused to support the KGC operation and threatened the signals team when it attempted to recover equipment, demonstrating that at least some KDF elements remain opposed to KGC activity. Further recovered orders show that the KGC intended to attack that garrison while withdrawing its communications equipment. The present occupancy and condition of OBJ Nexus remain unknown following Joint Aviation Command engagements nearby, but exploitation of the site may identify KGC command personnel and clarify how the organisation is using the KDF network.
Karim Ismail was recovered from Al Tabqah during OP 01 and must now be returned to embedded Kamira Renewal personnel beyond the current line of friendly control. OBJ Resident marks a village in the hills near Salquin used by Kamira Renewal to conduct operations and store assets. No landing site near the village can be used without exposing its location to nearby KGC elements, untrusted KDF forces or local observers. Kamira Renewal has therefore staged civilian vehicles approximately one kilometre north of HLS Nomad, providing access to the only identified route that avoids known KGC activity and KDF checkpoints.
The location of OBJ Resident is critical to Kamira Renewal operations and must remain concealed. Any air activity near the village or compromise of the ground movement would risk exposing the site and the personnel waiting there. Ismail will be transferred alongside medical supplies and friendly-force tracking equipment (cTab's), enabling Kamira Renewal to sustain its own operations and deconflict its activity with British forces operating in the region.
Acknowledgements
- Refer to the situation report for detailed information on known factions and identification images.
- KDF forces are fragmented; only identified hostile positions are authorised for engagement.
- KDF checkpoints inside Al Tabqah have extend beyond previous positions; ISTAR is required ahead of movement.
- HLS Nomad is to be assumed compromised following infil; all elements are to clear the area without delay.
- OBJ Resident MUST NOT be approached if the ground movement and infil is compromised.
- Air assets must remain at least 2-3 km from OBJ Resident; long-range support only unless the task is aborted.
Commanders intent
The intent of this operation is to secure and exploit key KDF communications sites and the former KGC command post to determine which KDF elements remain under lawful control and establish the extent of KGC access to military intelligence and networks. Success will provide a clearer assessment of the relationship between KDF and KGC forces while seeing Karim Ismail returned safely to Kamira Renewal, enabling his continued cooperation and support through Renewal personnel and assets.

- [OBJ Cipher Alpha] Secure the KDF garrison in Al Tabqah and exploit its communications equipment.
- [OBJ Cipher Bravo] Secure the Al Tabqah government building and attempt to access and exploit the KDF comms network.
- [OBJ Nexus] Investigate the former KGC command post, clear any hostile presence, detain identified HVTs and recover communications equipment and intelligence.
- [OBJ Cipher Charlie] Secure the KDF garrison in Al Quisa and exploit its communications equipment.
- [HLS Nomad] Infil with Karim Ismail and support supplies then secure the staged civilian vehicles.
- [OBJ Resident] Covertly deliver Ismail and the supplies to Kamira Renewal personnel, aborting the approach if compromised and moving at least 2-3 km from the site before extraction by 47Cdo or JAC elements.
Joint Aviation Command
- Resupply for 40Cdo and 47Cdo at the beginning of the operation
- [HLS Nomad] Infil both an element of 40Cdo and Ismail. Avoid all other air traffic in the area.
