Op Toxon 06 - 2026/06/06

Situation

Following exploitation of the underground tunnel complex secured during OP 05, intelligence now confirms that LRK had successfully received and processed chemical material taken from the Toska convoy. Darwish’s notes indicate the material was no longer being held solely in identifiable drums, with at least part of the load transferred into civilian gas bottles and mixed among normal fuel and cooking supplies. The tunnel itself was assessed by LRK as unsuitable for long-term storage, meaning the remaining material is likely being prepared for onward movement or has already begun moving through civilian logistics channels.

Recovered reporting indicates that Rahmani is now central to the next stage of movement. His role appears to be confirming whether a road route through Faysh Khabur can still be used without exposing the network, suggesting an imminent meeting or handover inside the city. Faysh Khabur remains heavily contested, with local security degraded, armed groups operating openly, and civilian movement disrupted by ongoing fighting. Rahmani is assessed to be a facilitator rather than a committed fighter. His value to LRK comes from contacts, route access, and local influence, not battlefield command. If cornered inside Faysh Khabur, he is more likely to surrender and trade information than fight to the death, though he should still be expected to escape if he sees a clear route out of the city.

The stolen weapons package appears to have been separated from the chemical load. LRK orders indicate drones, launchers, missiles, and sealed crates were arranged for movement by aircraft, away from the road network now under increasing scrutiny. Any remaining aircraft, maintenance records, fuel logs, loading equipment, or recent flight manifests may provide the only reliable indication of where that package was sent and whether further movement is planned.

Previous intelligence also continues to point toward an industrial handling chain connected to Darwish’s work. While the tunnel was used for temporary storage and repackaging, it was not suitable for sustained processing, and earlier reporting identified industrial facilities as safer locations for handling chemical stock. Any remaining drums, unfinished batches, contaminated tools, packaging materials, or precursor supplies may still be present at associated sites, particularly if LRK was forced to move quickly following the loss of the tunnel.

South-east of the main area of operations, hostile activity is increasing around Bajerke Dumez and the surrounding approaches. Friendly clearance efforts have pushed further than previous operations, but the area remains vulnerable to militia re-infiltration, route surveillance, and small-scale attacks against movement corridors. At the same time, IRGC-linked forces are assessed to be building combat power in the wider area and attempting to reclaim territory lost during the opening phase of Operation Toxon.

LRK remains under pressure, but the network has not collapsed. Current assessment suggests the group is separating its remaining assets across multiple routes: chemical material by road, weapons by air, and militia pressure along the outer approaches to slow further exploitation.

Acknowledgements

  • Operating elements should expect irregular contact with ambushes and sudden engagements rather than defined frontline.
  • Local security forces and authorities may be compromised or report our presence, limiting operational secrecy.
  • Civilian presence is dense in and around towns, increasing the likelihood of militia blending into populated areas.
  • Civilian sentiment may vary by area and/or city, with some populations tolerant or hostile to our presence.

Commanders intent

The intent of this operation is to prevent LRK from moving stolen convoy material beyond friendly reach and to recover the intelligence needed to identify its onward destination. Friendly forces are to exploit the Faysh Khabur route lead, recover evidence of recent air movement, and confirm where the chemical material and stolen weapons package have been sent. Concurrent operations are to reduce hostile freedom of movement in the east, clear remaining insurgent footholds, and prevent or delay any attack against friendly-held ground.
