Situation

The security situation on the southern half of Sahrani has deteriorated following coordinated actions by extremist elements of the Sahrani Liberation Army (SLA). SLA forces have seized several key government facilities, financial institutions, and the primary airfield used by the Royal Army Corps of Sahrani (RACS), significantly disrupting the kingdom’s ability to coordinate a response. The city of Paraiso remains contested but is largely under SLA control, with militant checkpoints and patrols operating across parts of the city. Civilian groups have begun limited acts of resistance against the occupation while largely attempting to avoid direct involvement in ongoing fighting. 

Intelligence recovered during the Finland operations indicates that the SLA’s primary objectives was the removal of leadership in support of a unified Sahrani along with seizure of financial assets belonging to the Kingdom of Sahrani. By capturing or restricting access to these funds, the extremists aimed to undermine the kingdom’s economic stability and erode its ability to maintain military operations. The loss of financial control has forced elements of the government and armed forces into a partial stand-down. This economic disruption has weakened resistance while the SLA consolidates power. 

The Royal Army Corps of Sahrani (RACS) is currently operating in a fragmented and uncertain state. Some installations have surrendered under stand down orders, while others have abandoned formal command structures and begun mounting irregular resistance against SLA forces. Several bases remain loyal and continue to conduct independent counterattacks against extremist positions. This fractured command environment creates a highly complex operating picture for PJHQ deployed forces. Without reliable coordination, friendly elements may be difficult to identify, and operations must be conducted cautiously until order can be restored, focusing on key objectives that will ultimately allow RACS to restore organisation, de-conflict with our forces, and re-establish a functional chain of command.

Intelligence sources and surviving members during the Finland attacks have identified the last known location where several members of the Sahrani government are currently being detained. SLA extremist elements are reportedly holding these officials under house arrest while attempting to force political restructuring. Their intent appears to be the establishment of a new regime under a self-declared Democratic Republic of Sahrani. Maintaining control over the detained leadership allows the SLA to claim legitimacy while consolidating power across the island. Rapid action will be required to prevent the extremists from completing this political transition.

SLA extremist forces have also seized control of the tourist island and resort city of Rahmadi during the early stages of the uprising. Intelligence suggests that several members of the Kingdom of Sahrani government attempted to evacuate through the airport on the island as the situation deteriorated, but are believed to have been intercepted before successfully departing the island. Current reports indicate these officials may now be detained by SLA forces, though available intelligence remains unverified and may be inaccurate. Government officials currently held under house arrest may be able to provide updated or clarifying intelligence regarding the situation on Rahmadi.

• Civilian populations in southern Sahrani are generally friendly toward coalition and loyalist forces and have begun actively resisting the presence of SLA extremists while attempting to avoid direct involvement in fighting.

• Civilians in northern Sahrani remain politically divided, with some supporting the emerging extremist movement while the majority previously expressed support for the peace talks conducted in Finland.

• Elements of the Royal Army Corps of Sahrani remain disorganised following government stand-down orders, though several units continue to resist SLA advances and conduct limited defensive or irregular operations.

Commanders intent

The purpose of this operation is to restore coordination and command capability within loyal elements of the Royal Army Corps of Sahrani and prevent the destabilisation of the Kingdom of Sahrani. We will achieve this by targeting key objectives that minimise the risk of engagement with friendly RACS units while enabling the restoration of their chain of command, securing detained government officials, and regaining control of seized financial assets. The desired end state is a re-established and coordinated RACS command structure capable of continuing operations, with SLA extremist forces weakened through the disruption of their funding and weapon supply networks.
