Op Shrouded Lance 06 - 2025/10/18

Situation

Follow-on exploitation from OP 04/05 indicates the research laboratory associated with the ballistic-missile guidance effort is actively stripping equipment and preparing to relocate. Intel analysis confirm an evacuation in progress with an HLS marked ~1 km south-east of the lab and research staff preparing to move overnight; extract/evacuee direction and terrain information point to an evacuation route to the south-east. Intercepted project comms also reference newly increased security at the lab’s east gate. These indicators increase the probability that the two identified scientists (Charles Ashcroft and Edvard Petrovič) remain in-country and are moving along predictable routes that 40 Commando can exploit during a rapid raid.

Intel recovered also reports current NOVA/NNDF protective posture for the Defence Minister, suggesting he has been moved to an abandoned lumber mill deep in the southern forest where NOVA has installed comms, secured multiple road approaches and a helipad. This location is assessed as a hardened safe site with local patrols and prepared egress routes. Current tasking directs 40 Commando to conduct a precision raid on that site to prevent high-value personnel from escaping or re-establishing command links.

ISTAR from OP 05 show the NNDF airfield infrastructure has been successfully cratered (runway rendered unusable), air operations are currently degraded and the enemy has shifted surviving forces toward further defence of remaining infrastructure and consolidation of comms/command nodes. Remaining NNDF units are assessed to be prioritising defence and will attempt to contest any ground approach towards the airfield. 2 PARA and armour elements should expect hardened resistance around comms/command buildings and repair/fortification efforts around the airfield complex.

• Civilians in rural areas are likely to be neutral or supportive of our presence however civilians to the south in built up cities are die hard supporters of their current government and military.
• Novagorija National Defence Force [NNDF] has access to newer equipment although a majority of their personnel may lack in-depth knowledge. As such most of their advance Anti Air positions are located south, mainly securing major cities, military installations and main airbase. Manpads and AAA guns are still employed across the region in key areas. 

Commanders intent

The intent of the following operations is to consolidate and exploit our established foothold by maintaining relentless offensive pressure and continuing persistent intelligence collection to enable decisive follow-on actions, with three NOVA members already eliminated and one surviving Hungarian raid participant identified as the team medic, shift to a singular priority of locating and neutralising the threat posed by the ballistic missile guidance computers, identify the research laboratory, the assembly/construction site, and the two named researchers (Charles Ashcroft and Edvard Petrovič) already revealed by prior intelligence, and where possible, recover the equipment stolen in the Hungary convoy ambush while protecting friendly forces and preserving the operational tempo.
