Op Shrouded Lance 04 - 2025/10/04

Situation

We are assessing a significant NNDF offensive is imminent from the town of Budetice directed at 2PARA’s defensive line. Enemy forces are expected to mass armour and infantry in a concerted effort to break the line, seize terrain and open a corridor for further manoeuvre west and north towards the airstrip.

We have positive intelligence from last operation indicating the location of a NOVA member (or NOVA team) escorting a high-value foreign advisor in Podrabsky Mlyn. The escort is believed to be holding the advisor locally while preparing for extraction by light aircraft from the nearby strip or by motorised exfiltration along prepared routes if air egress becomes untenable.

The Main Supply Route (MSR) between Budetice and Rabi has been strengthened to support simultaneous operations on both fronts. Additional fighting positions and fortifications have been established along the route, with checkpoints, obstacles, and overwatch elements in place to safeguard movement and maintain a steady flow of logistics even under pressure.

Based on combined-source intel and nearby ISTAR, there are two primary suspected research-lab locations: one is the defunct radar installation (OBJ Moon) and the other is an unmarked compound in the south; 40 Commando has been tasked to conduct a raid on OBJ Moon to locate, secure and ex-filtrate any forensic, documentary or electronic evidence that would confirm the presence or activity of the ballistic missile programs research facility.

• Civilians in rural areas are likely to be neutral or supportive of our presence however civilians to the south in built up cities are die hard supporters of their current government and military.
• Novagorija National Defence Force [NNDF] has access to newer equipment although a majority of their personnel may lack in-depth knowledge. As such most of their advance Anti Air positions are located south, mainly securing major cities, military installations and main airbase. Manpads and AAA guns are still employed across the region in key areas. 

Commanders intent

The intent of this operation is to establish a secure foothold in-country to enable subsequent, deeper intelligence gathering and targeted strikes. Our primary focus is two-fold: first, to locate the ballistic missile guidance computers that have been shipped into Novihrastova and prevent their research and integration into any weapons systems; and second, to track down the members of the NOVA team responsible for the Hungary convoy ambush, with the objective of locating and recovering the stolen equipment.
