Op Shrouded Lance 01 - 2025/09/13

Situation

40 Commando has successfully crossed the border under the cover of darkness, arriving at BLS Rybnik and is currently conducting a small reconnaissance of the airfield in preparation for its assault. This action follows recent intelligence, gathered by routine aircraft flying the Ukraine border to avoid suspicion, which identified NNDF forces securing the town of Nalzovske Hory. A NOVA team was observed arriving shortly after, appearing to round up and detain civilians before moving south to Letovy to unload what is believed to be communications equipment (OBJ Frost).

This hostile action against the civilian population may be linked to information provided by a contact codenamed "Shepherd," who we believe is a leader within a rebellious agrarian group. Prior to the loss of contact with him, Shepherd provided verifiable intelligence that NNDF convoys in the midwest region had been hit by his group. In response, the NNDF has established checkpoints and begun detaining civilians in an effort to locate members of the "Agrarian Revolt." Given that we have lost contact with Shepherd, his capture or compromise is a distinct possibility, which has prompted us to move up the timeline for the airfield assault (OBJ Avalanche) to maintain the element of surprise.

Initial PJHQ plans are to secure the airfield to support future efforts in the region and capture the existing checkpoints to the south of Nalzovske Hory allowing us to push the focus East.

• Civilians in rural areas are likely to be neutral or supportive of our presence however civilians to the south in built up cities are die hard supporters of their current government and military.
• Novagorija National Defence Force [NNDF] has access to newer equipment although a majority of their personnel may lack in-depth knowledge. As such most of their advance Anti Air positions are located south, mainly securing major cities, military installations and main airbase. Manpads and AAA guns are still employed across the region in key areas.

Commanders intent

The intent of this operation is to establish a secure foothold in-country to enable subsequent, deeper intelligence gathering and targeted strikes. Our primary focus is two-fold: first, to locate the ballistic missile guidance computers that have been shipped into Novihrastova and prevent their research and integration into any weapons systems; and second, to track down the members of the NOVA team responsible for the Hungary convoy ambush, with the objective of locating and recovering the stolen equipment.
