Op Borealis 02 - 2026/01/31
Situation
Operations across the southern region have yielded significant results. Anti-air and anti-ship positions at OBJ Rune Alpha, Rune Bravo, and Ymir were successfully dismantled, opening coastal approaches for naval assets and enabling freedom of movement for rotary aviation. The town of Klamila has been secured and established as a temporary forward operating base, with crossroad checkpoints now under friendly control. During the raid on the town of Hanski, critical intelligence was recovered detailing SLA force disposition and ongoing resupply operations from external staging areas.
Analysis of a downed reconnaissance drone recovered near the Pyolinvuori high ground has confirmed hostile ISR activity across the front line. Preliminary assessment indicates the UAV was relaying live positional data prior to being engaged, with loiter patterns consistent with shaping operations for a ground advance. Analysts have traced the relay site to a communications hub north of the town of Harju. An enemy advance into the area is assessed as highly likely within the coming hours, making neutralisation of the drone relay site a priority.
Recovered communications confirm a cargo vessel departed from the port Sillamäe and is en route to reinforce SLA positions in the northeast. The vessel is carrying additional supplies, mainly equipment and vehicles to sustaining extremist operations in the region. Interdiction and boarding has a limited window to intercept before the ship reaches hostile-controlled waters. Previous attempts to board was met with resistence and unwilling to cooperate and lower the ramps, necessitating an aerial boarding operation to secure the vessel and prevent delivery of its cargo.
The Prolahti quarry has been identified as the SLA storage and staging hub for operations in the area. Latest ISTAR reveals vehicle depots, ammunition stores, and garrisoned infantry are confirmed at the site, protected by anti-air defences. Supporting positions in the surrounding area include a fallback location being used to stockpile supplies and recce teams identified from intercepted communications operating in proximity to 29 Commando's artillery positions. These saboteur elements pose a direct threat to fire support capabilities and must be eliminated before they can interdict ongoing operations.
British mediators in attendance to the peace conference remain unaccounted for. Intelligence suggests they were not caught in the initial extremist assaults and are believed to still be alive.
The whereabouts of Daniel Ortiz and Luis Martin Diaz, confirmed captured during the initial attack, remain unknown. Locating and recovering these individuals continues to be a priority as operations develop.

- Refer to the situation report for detailed information on known factions and identification.
- CIVPOP are friendly and should be cooperative with many of them fleeing to safety of nearby towns and police.
- CIVPOP in small towns have likely retreated to larger towns and cities for safety. Engagements around this areas should take care to avoid civilian casualties.
- British mediators in attendance to the conference remain unaccounted for but intelligence suggests they are still alive and weren't caught in the extremist assaults
Commanders intent
The intent of this operation is to disrupt SLA command and logistics by neutralising their communications network and drone control capabilities in the northern area of operations, while concurrently raiding the cargo ship delivering additional supplies and securing the SLA staging hub at the Prolahti quarry. Success will degrade SLA operational capability and set conditions for follow-on operations to locate and recover British nationals.
