Situation

The Danish Island of Bornholm was among multiple territories that suffered from largescale jamming and electronic disruption. The source being identified as to come from a Cormorant Freight vessel, the Storm Petrel. Following disruption of the Petrel's Electronic Warfare (EW) capabilities it has been confirmed that Toska PMC have established a foothold on the island. Lavrencij Krečič has been confirmed to be on location residing within the town of Aakirkeby, further intelligence suggests that specialist elements of Toska have withdrawn to Bornholm undetected. Alongside this, Toska have been confirmed to have developed portable suitcase devices carrying the same chemical payload found in Ballistic Missile systems captured during Operation Shrouded Lance, this includes schematic information provided by Edvard Petrovič. A total of three devices, one secured by NATO troops, were developed.

Estimates place that Toska have established a presence in Bornholm at the same time first reports of conflict in Rügen were made. Efforts to signal for assistance by defending Military and Police personnel in Bornholm were prevented by the Electronic Warfare coordinated by the Storm Petrel. Observations by air patrols coordinated by the U.S Air Force report that the island is actively contested, indicating that the presence in Bornholm was to facilitate the relocation of Lavrencij Krečič.

~~WIP~~The -cargo ~~tasking~~vessel ~~situation~~Storm Petrel, previously confirmed as the platform responsible for regional electronic interference, has been disabled following a combined maritime interdiction effort. Its engines and primary electronic systems are disabled, preventing further movement. Despite this the Toska crew have refused all broadcast calls to surrender and continue to fortify internal compartments. 40 Commando is tasked to seize the vessel by force, secure all Toska personnel aboard and recover any materiel linked to their wider jamming infrastructure and equipment on board.

Two runways have been identified across the Bornholm AO. The first is located on the southern coast at the main civilian airport while the second sits inland to the north at a smaller airstrip repurposed for Toska logistics. 2PARA working alongside the Royal Tank Regiment will conduct a direct assault on the airport marked OBJ Eagle. After the cargo vessel has been secured, 40 Commando will strike north and dismantle the logistics element by raiding the north coast and work inwards towards OBJ Osprey, preventing further dispersal of equipment inland.

Upon securing OBJ Eagle 2PARA and RTR will transition to offensive action deeper into the island interior. The next objective is the dismantling of Toska’s primary supply depot located within the city of Roenne which intelligence indicates is the central node feeding both garrison and reinforcement activity. Once the depot is neutralised both units will push north east to engage and collapse the defensive positions in and around Vestermarie securing the town and preventing Toska from advancing to reinforce their forces engaged with the Danish military on the north western front.

All operational objectives are being shaped to enable a direct raid on Lavrencij Krečič the central political figure behind the conflict. Marked as OBJ Lion his last known location places him within the town of Aakirkeby where intelligence suggests he and the associated governing infrastructure of Nova Obzorja have established a temporary political and security seat. The neutralisation or capture of Krečič and his command elements is assessed to be decisive in concluding hostile activity on Bornholm.

Towns and cities across Bornholm have been fortified and CIVPOP who were unable to flee are under curfew and/or detained within holding.

Commanders intent

Intent of Operation Veritable 06 is to secure a foothold on Bornholm by landing 2 PARA and RTR in the south while 40 Commando conducts disruptive raids against logistics and infrastructure in the north, enabling coalition forces to fragment Toska’s defensive structure across the island. Dutch Marines advancing from the north-west will pressure Toska’s lines while UK forces push north to divide Bornholm into two isolated regions, denying Toska the ability to reinforce or manoeuvre. These actions aim to rapidly degrade their combat capability and set the conditions to locate and assault the assessed position of Lavrencij Krečič for his capture and extradition to Novihrastova.
