Op Veritable 03 - 2025/11/15

Situation

~~WIP~~Freizeitpark Trent, a holiday resort on the western coast of Ruegen, experienced a failure in Toska's signal blackout and containment measures which allowed civilian hostages' phones to begin automatically uploading texts, photos and videos to friends, relatives and local forces; German military intelligence MAD was able to intercept and secure these uploads, providing immediate SIGINT and actionable footage from inside the resort prior to devices being confiscated.

The town of Trent and the southern treeline have been established by Toska as a reinforced foothold, hosting a solid garrison that functions as a supporting area for operations across southern Ruegen; clearing and securing Trent and the treeline is assessed to degrade Toska's local operational depth and, combined with the existing naval blockade and their lack of timely manpower and equipment reinforcement, should compel a tactical withdrawal if sustained pressure is applied.

Enemy reinforcements have gathered at Putgarten Airfield, where imagery and signals intelligence confirm a build-up of troops and equipment. High-value target Andrei Popov is believed to be present either at the airfield or nearby with Toska forces. Capturing him would disrupt their local command and could provide useful intelligence on wider Toska operations. The airfield remains the main threat for Toska resupply and withdrawal. If it stays operational, limited air deliveries could still get through despite the naval blockade, making the site a key target for interdiction and HVT capture.

Toska has emplaced integrated AAA and radar air-defence assets within and around Altenkirchen to shield Putgarten and deny close air support. 40 Commando is tasked to execute a deliberate strike package against those AAA and sensor nodes (OBJ Latium) to neutralise the air defence umbrella. This action will function as a shaping and deception effort: by fixing and drawing enemy attention toward the AA engagement, a second dedicated assault team will exploit the resulting gaps to move on OBJ Roma and seize or neutralise the HVT at the airfield. Synchronisation between the suppression strike and the HVT assault is critical to limit the HVT's ability to evacuate the area and preserve airframes designated for CAS and exfil.

The Kluis electrical substation represents a key node of control for local power distribution, and re-securing it will cut Toska off from the electrical grid in the area, restore power to allow access to security camera footage and revive critical digital infrastructure, and enable near real time intelligence collection and exploitation for follow on operations.

CIVPOP are friendly and should mostly be cooperative with many of them fleeing to safety of nearby towns and police.
We have credible intel that CIVPOP are being rounded up and held as hostage. Identifying possible buildings used to detain hostages should be conducted before any major assault.

Commanders intent

Intent of Operation Veritable is to assault key positions held by Toska within the Ruegen region while gathering intelligence to their motives and goals while assisting the Bundeswehr in reclaiming the region while they deal with other points of contention across their coastline with follow on tasking's generated by intelligence to target key individuals, namely Viktor Malenkov. Secondary intent is to locate and capture Lavrencij Krečič so he can be extradited back to Novihrastova and face trial by it's interim government and people.
