Bio:
Only son among three daughters from a rural farming village in eastern Slovenia, Žižek only knew manual labour as a boy. His Mother encouraged his education, but his Father insisted he work the farm. He never enjoyed this life and made it known to any who would ask, so it is no surprise that as soon as he was able - he packed up and left for the army. His time within the Slovenian military was uneventful, but it gave him opportunities and connections across the balkans. After he was discharged in the early 2000s, he decided to study economics in Belgrade - living with a friend who now worked with Serbian arms companies - and eventually in Ljubljana. His economic ideas were largely practical, but always shrouded in a cloak of agricultural bias - his understanding of the inner workings of a modern industrial economy was rudimentary, but passable.
He spent time involved in politics within eastern Slovenia, but only truly grew a political mind when he met Lavrencij Krečič at a rally in Ptuj. He commited himself to reading his works, and campaigning for independence. Lending his degree to Krečič to proclaim the economic advantages of a nation of farmers, by farmers. Žižek worked tirelessly securing deals for imports and exports necessary for the functioning of the region, and eventually the nation. As time passed, the President demanded more of him, and he compensated with new ideas. Among these would be the foundation of an industrialisation plan - forced urbanisation, unproductive farm seizures and deployment of penal labourers to construct new industries from which they could create a new economy.
