First IntroductionBio:
Born to an ethnically Slovene mining family in North Eastern Croatia, Cerne yearned to break free of the classroom and enter the mines with his father. The stories he was told of the dark, endless pits and the rumbling of stone as explosives render it into bitesize chunks made his mind wander. Yet despite his protestations, his parents insisted on his education, culminating in his eventual graduation from high school. His resentment for his "wasted years" came to a head as he left Croatia and entered into the newly founded nation of Novihrastova, where he found employment with fledgling mining companies in the east. Historically apolitical, this would all change after a visit from the President, Lavrencij Krečič,Krečič, during the 2008 election campaign.
He was engulfed with an ethnonationalist fervour after the fiery speeches, and with it fresh in his mind he made the decision to quit the mines and enter the military as a volunteer soldier. It didn't take long for instructors to realise he had a knack for making things explode, and soon he was invited to attend an advanced combat engineer course with CSTO nations as an observer and junior trainee. Despite his best efforts, he was clearly intelligent, and was quickly selected to instruct new recruits on the finer details of the role explosives play on the battlefield.
His standing grew, and by 2020 he was well known within Novihrastovan military circles as a hardened instructor and master of demolitions. All this made it clear that he was a priority candidate for NOVA when picking men to send after the convoys.
